On this episode Leo interviews Andrew Weiler. He is passionate about empowering English language learners… not just through speaking English in ways so they won’t feel held back in their lives and careers, but also to see themselves as powerful learners, confident and able to see challenges as opportunities to grow themselves.
His work with English language learners has extended to working with adults from over 70 countries ranging in ability from being world acclaimed practitioners in their own fields of expertise to illiterate tribes people from the mountains of south east Asia.…and everyone in between.
He has also trained English language teachers from many countries, trying to get them to see that language teaching to be effective has to get away from seeing language as knowledge. More recently he has focussed in working with professionals who recognize that their chances of career advancement are being held back by some aspect of their spoken skills.
